Developed for the 2018 End of Year Show at Columia GSAPP, I was asked to create a full scale installation for the front lawn space. Ben Gillis’ design was selected. It had a clear fabrication tract and was buildiable in the time we had to fabricate it (...as well as being an excelent design concept) . We worked together to develop a strategy for creating the fluted columns on the CNC with Joshua Jordan, Director of Fabrications at Columbia. The resultant system was a single interlocking element, strong and highly flexible in regards to positioning.
