CASTING EXPERIMENTS

A series of iterative models we used explored a variety of cast concrete formworks. The goal, to create a simple prompt for students to work through in our TECHNE course. These early models helped refine the prompt and test potential materials, scales, and timelines.
A simple plan for an office located in a backyard space. The wooden rainscreen and shed roof block the sun, while a large northen window above the desk provides ample studio lighting. The large sliding door allows larger objects in and out of the space. A quick, large-scale study model in foamcore helped visualize this project.
