INFORMATION / ABOUT

Research & Practice LLC is led by Trevor Watson. Trevor graduated from the University of Arizona CAPLA with honors before moving to New York City. While in New York he completed numerous projects with Robert Marino Architects and Rockwell Group. He continued developing his own research eventually leading to his teaching appointment at Columbia GSAPP. During his time at Columbia he developed and taught 2 courses, ‘Transitional Geometries’ and ‘Detail: Craft in Practice’ which he co-taught with UofA Alum, and architect, Paul Sanderson. The work done while at GSAPP was widely published in the yearly ‘ABSTRACT’.

After leaving New York, Trevor worked in Stockholm Sweden for the industrial design firm Kram Wiesshaar, where he was able to explore a different scale of design and attention to detail. His time in Europe eventually led to another teaching opportunity, a collaborative summer workshop with Zurich based architect Baier Bischofberger, ETH Zurich, ETH Complex Materials, and Columbia GSAPP.

After leaving Sweden, Trevor eventually returned to Tucson Arizona, his hometown, where he continues to research, design, and explore educational opportunities.
