Steel Window Fabrication
07–08–2023
Design and fabrication of a large steel tube structure and pivoting door. Overall project dimension 80” x 160”. Primary frame made from 1x4 hollow rectangular steel tube painted black. Locking pivot door provides passage to the backyard. The cross brace prevents the frame from racking durring instalation. Insulated glass is held in place with an accurate double bead of silicone. Responsible for design and fabrication.

Studio Study 2
02–08–2021
A small study model investigating a north facing open air studio concpet with an attached toilet room and outdor washbasin. The existing mesquite tree remained on the west side providing shade from the afternoon light. A long table inside for working faces a raised planter and bench where a small garden grows.

Studio Study 1
01–02–2021
A quick large scale study model in foamcore. A wooden rainscreen and simple shed roof block the sun while a large northen window above the desk provides ample studio lighting. A large sliding door allows larger works in and out the studio space.

Painter’s Studio 2
04–08–2020
The second take on an evolving prompt saw a few important aspects change. The storage of finihed art was consolidated into a custom wire rack , allowing for easier access and display. The kitcheneette and entry share the same wall, just below the lightshelf. This element reflects the stronger southern light up, creating an even glow accross the northern wall where work is done.

Terrace House
07–15–2020
A modest two bedroom one bath vacation home for friends in Europe. A large staircase provides access to an upper garden terrace; a retreat in the shade with a view. The lower level opens out to a semi-private courtyard and a small garden.
